Joan McAulay, Clan Commissioner, Western Canada, Clan MacAulay of the Canadas

It is an honour to serve as Clan Commissioner, Western Canada for Clan MacAulay of the Canadas. From our first time attending an International Clan Gathering in Crieff, Perthshire, Scotland, I felt at home within Clan MacAulay. I now have the opportunity to continue the amazing work of Bud MacAulay Lush in promoting the Clan MacAulay in Western Canada. I’m fortunate to have Bud as a friend/mentor/support and my husband/co-adventurer Doug Doughty at my side as we participate in Highland Games and travel to Scotland (and Northern Ireland in 2017!) for International Gatherings of MacAulays. Please feel free to contact me at anytime with any questions and, of course, your MacAulay stories.

Clan Aims

The aim of Clan MacAulay of the Canadas is to connect with MacAulays from across Canada. Our goal is to have clan gatherings bi-annually, on the even years.

The aim of Clan MacAulay International is the promotion of the spirit of Clansmanship, of belonging in kinship, to foster an interest in Scotland, the land, our origins, our history, in a multicultural world. The clan aims to remain something of value in a World of Changing values. Our Clan is based on Democracy and Meritocracy not Aristocracy and Patronage.
